Sharkmob is on the lookout for a new Lead to join our Core Systems team!
Our talented tech team dives deep into engine customization, performance profiling and optimization, memory management, streaming, rendering, and console platform support — and we’re looking for a leader who’s passionate about these areas and ready to guide others in tackling them.
As a Lead Engineer, you’ll play a key role in mentoring, supporting, and developing your team while collaborating closely with fellow Leads, Technical Directors, and your Department Manager. At Sharkmob, collaboration, transparency, and mutual respect are at the heart of everything we do.
You’ll be responsible for:
Supporting and growing your team members through 1:1s, performance evaluations, salary reviews, and personal development plans.
Creating a positive, inclusive, and inspiring team environment.
Providing your team with the tools, guidance, and structure needed to succeed.
Leading by example — bringing professionalism, curiosity, and enthusiasm to your work.
Promoting teamwork, celebrating wins, and encouraging individual strengths.

Required:
Proven experience leading a tech team.
A genuine passion for helping others grow and develop their skills.
An interest in continuously developing your own leadership abilities.
Experience shipping at least one game in a senior or lead tech role.
Bonus Points For:
Experience with console development.
Background in rendering or graphics programming.
Familiarity with Unreal Engine.
Experience developing internal tools to support teams.
Experience working on open-world titles.

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience working with C++.
Strong background in developing core architecture and systems that support games.
